Scott and Jamie The Putnams are some of the most experienced horsemen and riders in Jackson Hole and are active competitors in regional rodeos and roping events. Together they help operate one of the largest deeded land and cattle operations in the Jackson Hole area. The Putnam family loves horses, cattle, riding and teaching others. About Scott Putnam Scott grew up in the western United States on ranches and feedlots, and has had a life-time relationship with horses. He has had the privilege of working with some of the top horsemen in the nation and has always loved working with kids and adults that are willing to learn horsemanship. Scott has attended several horseshoeing schools and he understands the anatomy and movement of the horse from the ground up. He has started some very successful rope horses, he starts all the horses on the ranch and teaches them respect for both horse and rider first and foremost. This provides a great foundation for whatever you would like to do with your horse. Without respect and friendship between you and your horse it is hard to proceed with any success. Scott has competed in major team ropings throughout the United States with success and has been fortunate enough to rope with some of the best in the nation, and enjoys passing on the knowledge that he has learned from them and his own experiences. About Jamie PutnamJamie grew up with horses, and was only a few days old the first time she was on a horse. She grew up showing western pleasure around the Eastern United States. Jamie has shown at many large national shows around the country, such as Paint World and Quarter Horse Congress. Having taken very extensive lessons in western riding and showmanship over the years, her passion remains in the rodeo world. Jamie loves to barrel race and team rope with her family. She and her family live on a large cattle ranch that runs 4,000 head of steers each summer. She and her husband (Scott Putnam) have taken outside horses in for years to either fix different problems and/or train for performance in the arena. Jamie has always had a love for kids and horses, and she genuinely enjoys the opportunity to work and progress with both.
